[Matplotlib-users] legend outside the chart area

Hi,

Starting from the example 
http://matplotlib.sourceforge.net/screenshots/barchart_demo.py I tried 
to add more data to it. Please see the attached picture with the result.

Is there a way to display the legend outside the chart area because in 
some cases, like this one, parts of the chart are hidden?

Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you very much.
