Hi, I still use a text mailer, so if you wanna make things easy on me, you might try sending plain old ascii in the future. >
Hi,

I'm triying to put on mi atlas directory a couple of subroutines that let me take the inverse of a matrix by a series of matrix multiplications.
I guess you do not want to use the matrix inversion routines provided by the LAPACK API of ATLAS (GETRI/TRTRI or POTRI/LAUUM)? I believe these algorithms use gemm as much as possible without losing stability. If you substitute a gemm for TRSM in these algorithms, you run into the stability problem discussed here: http://www.cs.utk.edu/~rwhaley/ATLAS/trsm_prob.html >
The porpouse of this mail, is to know (cause i'm rather new on this list) if there is any index or resume of the topics touched on this list in the past. I wonder if anyone is trying to do the same as me, or something like this, so i can contact that person (persons).
I'm not at all sure what you mean here. However, the ATLAS developer release is archived in two locations. More recent mail is at SourceForge: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=426 Older stuff is on netlib: http://www.netlib.org/atlas/atlas-comm/ I'm not aware of anyone doing a index on this kind of thing. However, the basic documentation can be found in ATLAS/doc of the tarfile, and hanging off of the webpages . . . Cheers, Clint |
