Hi Victor, I had another question... I've fixed some problems with notifications in my own copy of Mantis, but so far they are somewhat kludgey. I hesitate to do a signficant rewrite and then be permanently out of sync with the Mantis development effort. I have been thinking of asking about joining the Mantis development team so my fixes can be folded into the whole. I've never participated in an open source project and don't know how this works. Would it be possible for me to join the team and rework this piece? Another piece I've been thinking of adding on my own is an email interface for posting reports and bugnotes. Again, I'd much rather do this as part of the Mantis project so I'm not out of sync. Please let me know if this is possible, and how I'd go about it. - Sheryl www.SherylCanter.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Victor Boctor" <vi...@fu...> To: <man...@li...> Sent: Saturday, May 01, 2004 6:17 AM Subject: RE: [Mantisbt-help] Mantis 0.19.0 release? Hi Sheryl, > Does anyone know when Version 0.19.0 will be released? The planned time frame for 0.19.0 is early June. > How come there are no interim builds available with some of the fixes? Due to the magnitude of the feature in 0.19.0, it is hard to release interim "stable" releases that are well tested and documented. However, we are reducing the scope of 0.19.0 to be able to deliver it on the mentioned time frame. With regards to applying the fix on two branches, it just takes too much of our resources. If you have a specific bug that is already fixed and you need to apply it to your 0.18.2 installation, join the IRC channel and we may be able to help you. Regards, Victor. |
