Sean, New constants should go in constant_inc.php The default/ directory is an attempt to imitate FreeBSD's system of /etc/default/rc.conf which is overwritten by the user defined /etc/rc.conf In the same way default/config_inc1.php is overwritten by anything in config_inc.php. This should make upgrading simpler although (potentially) more confusing. default/config_inc2.php needs certain values that the user defines (the path globals) in order to work properly. In general the files in default/config_inc2.php are unlikely to be changed by most users. I'm always looking for a simpler way to manage this if anyone has better suggestions. The current system is workable but I don't exactly feel good about it. To be better it needs to be less confusing for the novice user. Or perhaps I just need better instructions/explanations. Thanks, -Ken >What are the files in /default? How are they different? Are they loaded >BEFORE config_inc.php ? > >Are there guidelines for where new constants should be defined? > >(-: > >S |
