This is kind of a re-post. Quite some time ago I complained about the proposed new filter
options from the cvs version. I finally got around to installing the RC for version 19
and I have only one negative comment.
The new filters.
It takes up sooo much space. In an ideal world I would like to see most the first two
lines from the advanced filters screen (drop downs for Reporter, Assigned, Category,
Severity, Status, Product build, Version, Show, and Changed) with a link to launch the
advanced filters page.
I find the screen real estate taken up by the massive number of custom fields is extreme,
and all the links launch the exact same page. just a single link would do for me.
The advanced filters page sometimes stretches off screen.
Two enhancements that I think would grant a huge value add for the filters would be the
ability to filter with a comparison other than equals (like grater than for example).
Also add a option for a custom field to allow the administrator to decide whether to
include it in the filters section.
Other than my filters rant, I think Mantis is one of the leading applications in defect
management. Keep up the outstanding work.

Not sure if irc... but I think someone was working on making these sorts of
things roll-up when not in use.
