Hi, and thanks for a great bugtracker! There's one thing that annoys me though :) "Operation successful. Click here to proceed." This is a completely useless dialog. All it does is to impose a burden on the user to either wait a second or two to get forwarded back to where he/she was, or to click the "proceed" link. It's analogue to if your web browser popped up a "Page loaded successfully" dialog box with an OK button upon every page loaded. Status should be prompted in a statusline - it's not something that the user should confirm. If something goes wrong however, the user should be given the opportunity to correct his/hers error and try again. If the failure cannot be corrected by the user, again it's just a status change (which may be accentuated in some way if it's critical for the user to know about it). Oh, and if you don't want to receive email from badly configured mantis installations, why put your own email address as default? :) Todays $0.02 from, -- Tarjei Knapstad, MSc Head of Software Development ChemCon AS Professor Brochs vei 6 Phone: +47 73 54 03 73 7030 Trondheim Fax: +47 73 94 38 61 Norway Email: ta...@ch... |

The confirmation screen will probably be eliminated. Users were cutting and pasting the example configuration from the doc/INSTALL file which a grep had failed to seek out. >Hi, and thanks for a great bugtracker! > >There's one thing that annoys me though :) >"Operation successful.
