After seeing Victor's email about a release version, I was wondering if my patch for forcing entry of custom fields had been applied. After browsing CVS, it would appear not. I have attached it here again. It is against 0.18a4 though and not CVS. If it's really the only way to get it in I can probably manually add it to the CVS version. I believe the patch will probably apply pretty cleanly though to CVS. I also have a small patch that displays news entered under "All Projects" when showing an individual project. Otherwise, the "All Projects" news really only appears under the "All Projects" project. Understand? Since some people are only interested in one project, they often stay on that project and would never see any news entered under "All Projects" which are going to be announcment type news. If anyone wants this, I can probably get a patch together for it too. Christian |

Hi Christian, > After seeing Victor's email about a release version, I was wondering if > my patch for forcing entry of custom fields had been applied. After > browsing CVS, it would appear not. Thanks for the patch. I had a look at your changes but I didn't apply them. The reason for that is the following: - I don't want to do a database change at this stage. - I think it is better to implement this feature when implementing the feature where different custom fields are required at different stages. For example, a fixed-in-release field maybe on required when the user is marking a bug as resolved or as closed. > I also have a small patch that displays news entered under "All > Projects" when showing an individual project. I just wanted to check it didn't get lost anywhere. > > I also have a small patch that displays news entered under "All > > Projects" when showing an individual project. Basically when in "All Projects", it will now display news from every project, rather than just from the "All Projects" project. It already displayed "All Projects" news when looking at a specific project. Pretty simple, either way - I just felt that's how it should be. Diff is attached against 0.18a4. Only really two blocks so worst case is a cut and paste into CVS. Christian |
