>Everybody, keep sending success stories!
Okay, here we go. :-)
We're using Mantis for over a year now to track our internal support reques=
ts and even smaller projects and have over 1300 entries by now. I can't eve=
n remember how we handled all this before we introduced a bug tracking syst=
em. Although everyone has to get used to no longer sending mails around (wh=
ich seems to be quite a problem for some people), the overall acceptance is=
However, a few questions have appeared recently, and I'd like to use this o=
pportunity to write down a few suggestions, too.
- It'd be great if there was a way to "merge" entries, that is: Copy all f=
iles and comments from entry A to entry B, probably add a comment to entry =
B like "entry ... merged into this entry by ..." along with the header data=
and mark entry A as "duplicate". Sometimes different people send in reques=
ts that are filed as separate bug entries, but during the investigation we =
find out that it's the same problem. I find it quite annoying to zump aroun=
d between several bug entries describing the same thing.
- More or less depending on this, I'd love to see a way to automatically f=
ile incoming mails into Mantis.=20
- Is there a way to move a bug to a different project from bug_view_advanc=
ed_page or bug_view_page? If there is, I'll probably need new glasses, and =
if there isn't...
As I'd like to see these features in Mantis, I'd also volunteer to code a f=
ew lines; however, I don't want to interfere with what the core developers =
are probably already implementing. So - is someone already working on this =
our should I go ahead and send suggestions?

From the view bugs page check the boxes of the bugs you want to move and
then scroll to the bottom. There's a drop down box which defaults to Move.
Click OK. Select the project you want to move the selected bugs. Voila!
Took me a little while to find it too.
Can't help with the others.
