Hi Mantis Users,
The official Mantis website has been migrated to
http://www.mantisbugtracker.com. [^] Please updated your links to
refer to the new site.
Bugs - http://bugs.mantisbugtracker.com
Forums - http://forums.mantisbugtracker.com
Manual - http://manual.mantisbugtracker.com
The URLs should typically match the old ones. All what you need to
change is mantisbt.org to mantisbugtracker.com.
I've been trying to get in touch with Ken Ito (the original author of
Mantis) for about a year now unsuccessfully. I originally had access
to the FTP site but not the server which was owned by Ken and a
friend. The server has recently crashed and when the backups were
restored but the access rights were not setup correctly. This caused
features like attachments not to work any more. I've also lost my
write access to the FTP server.
After the crash, I've tried to contact Ken again via email (the 3
emails I have for him), phone number, DNS company, etc. I've failed to
get in touch with him.
I had no option other than to move the website to a different server,
but unfortunately, I was unable to re-direct the mantisbt.org to point
to the new server (since this is controlled by Ken). If I manage to
get in touch with Ken in the future, we will re-direct both domains to
point to the up-to-date server.
Due to the lack of write access to FTP of mantisbt.org, I will attempt
to disable the functionality of the site in whatever way I can through
the web interface. This is to avoid visitors from visiting
mantisbt.org and assuming that it is the active site.
Visitors who have registered on the bugtracker during the last week
may need to re-register on the new site.
As for how this will affect the project going forward, it's business
as usual. Ken has discontinued interest in the project for about 3
Thanks for your understanding...
