+1 -- master-1.2.x is the only branch that is delivering value to users right now.  master is close to being consumable with a bit work.  I'm confused about master-2.x and next was a long term branch.

We shouldn't resolve a bug unless it is resolved on a branch from which we are actively delivering releases.  At the moment, this is master-1.2.x, we can stretch this to master, but not any of the other branches.

I think not. Unless I was not informed of the secret handshake :-)

No as far as I know.

Good question, I'm curious.

+1, sounds reasonable.
Big  +1 here, I agree that it's confusing to have developers close
tickets. And it's very annoying to have developer disagree in a silent
manner about how to handle bugs by closing/reopening/closing.

It's not a secret I have my opinions regarding our branches and
versions and where we should focus our efforts, but we're all
volunteers and we choose exactly what to do.

But as long as we're doing Open Source development, let's handle
develop things in the open and communicate what we intend to do and
why. And strive to agree on things.

Cheers,

Robert
