[Majordojo-phpusers] Getting PHP users to work on a shared host?

Hi

Is it possible to get PHPusers to work on a shared host where you don't 
have access to httpd.conf?

I'm wanting to integrate it into a Movabletype install to protect a 
series of directories, but it is not on its own server.
