Quoting Grant <ema...@gm...>: > My laptop has an AR242x wireless chip and all dmesg messages looks > good but I can't seem to connect to an AP. I don't get any errors so > I'm not sure where to start. Should this work? All questions about ath5k should be asked in ath...@li... or in ath...@li..., not here. It may be helpful if you actually quote the kernel messages rather than rely on your assessment. They may have information about your exact hardware among other things. If you are using Linux 2.6.28, make sure you have CRDA installed and the correct country setting. The default is too conservative, as it should be legal everywhere in the world. I believe AR242X should work with ath5k in Linux 2.6.28 in the managed mode. The AP mode is not enabled in the code. -- Regards, Pavel Roskin |
