I have few questions about master mode.
Because I want to equip PC computer with
4-5 DWL-AG520 cards,
I want to know if it's possible (
from driver support aspect).
4 cards will act as access points on 80°
sector antennas at 2.4 GHz
(mixed B+G mode) and the 5th will
be used for point-to-point link with another
node at 5 GHz.
It'll be much easier to use
commercial access points, but every
access point I saw, based on Atheros
chipsets, are black boxes with 3-4 buttons
on their web interface.
1) How many simultaneous cards can madwifi handle?
2) Has anyone used madwifi in this manner?
I know the company in Croatia who
used their own drivers (modified madwifi) for their router.
It was equped with 2 miniPCI atheros cards and
few LAN interfaces.
3) What hardware (motherboard, chipset)
shall I use to avoid stuck beacon problem?
4) and last... Does madwifi support mixed (B+G) mode?

I remember reports where at least to cards in the same system were
running fine. In theory it should be possible to get the describes setup
up and running.

You should be able to find some reports about such setups by searching
the mailing list archives.

It's hard to give a proper answer to this question, since it's still
unsure what the reason for the SBP really is. You'll have to try.
