I think we so far have no comprehensive listing of the CAPS and stuff as
presented in the output of "wlanconfig xxx list scan". This should be
changed IMO, I will forward that request to the documentation team (hoping
that someone is still there :))
In case you have a bit of C knowledge, it should be not too hard to figure
the meaning of the characters used to represent the various capabilities
of scanned APs.
First check function getcaps()  in wlanconfig.c, it translates set
capabilities flags to characters. getathcaps()  does the same with
The defines used for the (generic) capabilities can be found at , that
should help to find a detailed description of their meaning in the IEEE
802.11 standard. The meaning of the Atheros-specific flags should be easy
to determine out of the name of the used defines - no idea if there is
further documentation available.
