I'm having a problem installing the driver on SUSE 9.2
After extracting the package.I ran the SuSEbuild file.It is compiled successfully.next i've executed .SusEbuild install. This also completed fine.
Now the device is up.
For installing the driver i'm executing modprobe ath_pci.
linux:/homeMADWIFI/madwifi-old-r1417-20060128# modprobe ath_pci
FATAL: Error inserting ath_pci (/lib/modules/2/6/8-24-default/extra/ath_pci.ko):Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg).
When i execute: lsmod | grep ath
i can see ath_hal,ath_rate_sample and wlan
I even rebooted the system.
please help me in this regard.

First off: where is the sense in reporting the issue in our bug tracker
(twice) and the mailing list at the same time?

madwifi-old is no longer supported, you should use madwifi-ng (preferrably
release 0.9.2) instead.
