i think this would be a good option given that nobody is willing to fix
current trunk and the fact that madwifi *will* be around for some time even
if we don't like it. we need a common base for bugfixes an maintainance!
- move trunk to branches/madwifi-fucked-up
- copy the revision openwrt started off to trunk/
- apply all openwrt patches
- manually go thru all commits which were in trunk and decide if they need
to go into the new trunk. changes should only go in if they are necessary
and stabilizing the code base (only merge things you understand, test!)...
that said, i have to admit that i will not be available to do the work, as i
will be gone again for about one year. after that i hope to find ath5k in a
usable state :) good luck!

I think that even in a bad situation a intelligent person should
watch it's language, especially if the things that get spoken
are submittet to a large number of different cultural contexts.
"madwifi-dead-end" would be a much better name.
