According to documentation ( http://madwifi.org/wiki/UserDocs/UsersGuide ),
private command mode can be used to switch between 802.11a/b/g modes.
But i can't find any documentation stating in which context is this
command allowed. Sometimes the command (using iwpriv) worked, sometimes
it failed with:
Interface doesn't accept private ioctl...
mode (8BE2): Invalid argument
According to my experience the only safe context to use this command
is immediately after creating the athX device using wlanconfig.
So my question is - in which contexts this command is supposed to work?
(I suppose stable releases of madwifi - v0.9.3.3, v0.9.4 .)
