Well, just for grins and giggles I tried driverloader…..same problem. Anyone have any ideas how to begin troubleshooting this? Log files and such? Cuz really, I don’t have a clue.

Subject: [Madwifi-users] Belkin F57000 version 5000
Running Debian Testing Kernel 2.6.15 -
Got this nic up and running using the madwifi driver. However, I have a couple of issues with the performance of the nic that hopefully someone can help me sort out. The nic is based off the atheros ar2413 chipset which I've learn is also refer to as ar5005.
The problem is that until I ping out from my linux box I can't connect to it from my windows box. Example, I boot my linux box, go over to my windows box and ty to ping it or access the samba share but it can't be found. I go over to the linux box's console and ping my windows box and then I can access the system. Its the same thing for other computers on the network. None of them can access the linux box until I first ping that computer. Once this is done the connection is fine for about 15 minutes. Then I have to start the process over again. Any ideas?
