We'll be using Madwifi in an environment where signal strength is often poor, and there isn't a whole lot we can do about it, unfortunately. Specifically, Madwifi 0.9.4 is being used on stations connecting to APs with an RSSI of 10 or below, usually. I have tried later versions, but haven't had any luck, stability-wise (Ubuntu 8.04).

My question is, given this situation, what settings can I make at the driver level to maximize connection stability? Reliability is far more important than speed. I'm hoping someone else has had some experience with this.

Thank you.
