The problem is simple: I would like to make a filter for an MP3 stream: It opens with the opening jingle of my favorite radio show and closes with its ending jingle. This can of course be refined by using the approximate times for the show, a memory buffer to include the jingles and so on. A simple correlation already works fine for WAV data, i.e. comparing the samples of the stream with my given snippet.
* Would you think one can make the comparison in the "frequency space" of mpeg as well?
* Are there funczions to meaningfully access the data array of a MP3 frame ?
