Hi Soeren and others, Soeren I'd be interested to know what power usage and battery life you get on your machine with the radeonhd driver. I recall people having done much better than the 24W I seem to be managing. I recently wiped my hard-disk and installed leopard and now I want to install Gutsy with AMD64 and start using it as my main OS (with power saving from the radeontool I think Linux is now usable and I'm getting tired of OS X). Anyone know a good howto for Gutsy on an MBP 2,2? Any reason not to use 64-bit kernel? thanks, Sheer On 10/26/07, Soeren Sonnenburg <mac...@nn...> wrote: > On Fri, 2007-10-26 at 13:07 -0500, Scott L Price wrote: > > If I remove the 'monitor' section in my xorg.conf file the radeon mostly > > works fine. > > > > Suspend to RAM does not work. I guess you don't have 'posting' enabled, I suspend via > s2ram -f -p ... > > Soeren > |
