apologies for asking about something that has surely been asked before, but
i've been googling for hours and i'm still stuck.
i've just installed the latest version of ubuntu studio on my 1st gen
macbook pro. everything works very well, but when i run qjackctl, audio
cuts in and out quickly, and i get loads of xrun error messages. just for
fun, i plugged in a cheap griffin imic USB interface and used that, and
things improved drastically. xrun errors and cutting in/out is pretty
infrequent. but it's still there.
so - i'm wondering what i need to do to use the internal hardware for audio
I/O on my macbook pro. i've done all software updates, i've removed and
reinstalled jackd. are there different drivers that will work better? i'm
completely new to linux, so any help is really appreciated.
let me know if you need more information to point me in the right direction.
