I compiled xz-4.999.9beta (and xz-4.999.8beta) with icc-10.1.008 as a 64-bit x86_64 binary.  But then get this error when decompressing any files:

    <filename>xz: Compressed data is corrupt

    Any ideas?

Maybe it is a bug that was fixed after 4.999.9beta release, which got triggered when building with ICC or GCC 4.4. Here is a relatively recent snapshot from the git repository which you can try:

    http://ctrl.tukaani.org/misc/xz-4.999.9beta-72-g153c.tar.gz

Remember to run "make check" too.

    Hello,

I'm compiling xz-utils-5.0.4 with icc-11.1 on amd64 and still seeing this issue. lzma and xz seem to compress fine, but fail to decompress. What could be wrong?

Upgrading to icc-13 solved this. I'm assuming it was a compiler bug then.
