-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hi guys I've added Qt components that seems to have translatable material (LXImage Qt, LXInput Qt and ObConf Qt) to the Pootle server now. Some of you saw it and asked for permission to be added and some of you I just added myself =) Anyhow. If you want to give it a go and try it out please do so, drop me a mail or ping me on IRC with language and username and I'll add the privs. Remember that this is early and the setup might be incorrect and so on. I can not really guarantee that anything will work. Even more so, this is unstable software and strings might change with the clock. And ofc: do not forget to COMMIT TO VCS when you leave a translation session. I also encourage you to click the update from VCS button before starting. Just to make sure you have the latest changes. Syncing against templates should also work. I think. Report anything strange to this list and we'll see where it lands us =) - -- brother http://sis.bthstudent.se -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.15 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Icedove - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJShO0MAAoJEJbdSEaj0jV73m8IALRxa4YlfXDZ3YG1X5JFbDAc rvzLJNbYfY3qOkUPa5aQfh/cdQVjB/2ZQW5WlCMILUF0A746uvG4Xi79goCqDleo nwtOLnDexRAZQ8c53Af57WtA3XaFZJT5RIYnJCOMcEQzYQb7Lnb3gwyLvdfj7tNa Hb3iCsBZdn3iwlVmjm86xpnTTHvFPeP1RgQrB/1XPmYGgcH/OJo2Fplhdj3OPV/r y/NktLsuLUfOIvBSbO7Tqv+ixFuSdinCcWb1bzuSiQv9onBoo7PVOMWanVGUgsVv Rs+GNIqhpNOZRzXrs2mlp4qILFCo/AaBy1xgzmZ8d7NS2K3AxwfK/JdsuJRpTF8= =tjtQ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Example: http://skal.bagge.nu/~brother/bilder/ss-131114-pootle_suggests.png The suggestions shown below the input field are extracted from the known translations for related strings. I don't know Chinese but I suspec that at least two of the three suggestion are close to correct in this case and using them will probably give a faster translation process over all. I haven't tried finding some automatic import of gettext based strings into Qt TS. You are very welcome to provide such a process to the community though. - -- brother http://sis.bthstudent.se -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.15 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Icedove - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJShPsPAAoJEJbdSEaj0jV72LUIAKyb4qgtQArBDQ0rXd0Y6MsR s+ipFdaAR+YWX55YY3QJVNW6b/MYdziqnBZ7dbmpVpcOKpx7L3UGa4ckHZB3n9Dw 5ZKOK/iR9+1URUYHfWPGngMo5Np2Z2gPoXDrlhIqeX6uk3bX81ihzi3F8pPosaCA OP8NhTG4ECvaVN/8GSZ75H1d2lxyo5CNPPhNKdMksJS/cwE7/slVT4AwWmGsGTsQ vF+WqX446p9Ef52VDS8ilwXeVUWtm/9ahNOaCgCxtsmHMmhUKWWDowpM1MgzWuMl vwLgnnsvBX67D5aRX4JFAs4XDG3negt03P4vJxI5JMw8pcoqDJazpD9ZGeGhyz8= =6js2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Helped me a lot. I know more or less nothing about ts files. For a quick test I did the following: po2ts sv.po > sv.ts cp sv.ts ../../lxinput-qt/src/translation/lxinput-qt_template-sv.ts Just to get something to compare on. 1 file changed, 171 insertions(+), 81 deletions(-) As I had a complete translation this means I now do not have that, after a resync with template Pootle tells me I have 16 strings translated out of 19 translated. Certainly a doable solution. 1. Download your po file. 2. execute po2ts ??.po > ??.ts 3. Upload the ts file and overwrite (maybe choose merge to avoid the following step?) the file in Pootle. 4. Click the "Update against templates" link 5. Translate the merged file. Good luck! - -- brother http://sis.bthstudent.se -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.15 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Icedove - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJShemCAAoJEJbdSEaj0jV7zJ8H/2R4St7YuChtjzUlD8EaNXXb fUgHveBsmqyUzktrd7ZySn9pFbdEymyT3o5zbC2m8Pbb2B5nmUSN2vOcDowCFhxt KaPv3HqKIHTqeVmfUP1O4bYo/wtDfBndo4cLG9zBepQzfz6QbqvlOlU6DtEIglfn UrLeLbC5FPa/4w0gQOsh5IRRdAxGmDZxW47uzIVGh9MjwK9Qm7Eq1hxC0UX6zFK2 qnpf3dYB96pCLbBg+ikdkqVNmiVZCGJMRFoZidMSfMkc91OxqpRRi2200+M9YKE7 S/mM7ftIGaCYOkUnoZ9iDJPGSSbwZ+gerxZGJ1yJFx1uF4ZL5vE33Fd3f1xPfx8= =ZbFU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
