You are comparing apples and oranges here. How many people worked on
Windows 95 and how many on LXDE? How much did you pay for Windows 95?
Ah, less pay and less developers is not the right excuse for the fact that LXDE is "worse" that Win95. A developer should face the problem and make it better, if the distance is exist indeed :-) .  

User's complaining often shows the direction of improvement, right?
