I'm also noticing that the font size for files on the desktop gets smaller after saving this file. It seems LXSession and PCManFM are providing their own options to configure this. I think this could be more or less solved in this way:

  • Making a change to this file and saving it should maybe apply to the current session only the changed values.
  • Potential redundant options should maybe not get autofilled in the configuration file to avoid overwriting options from a lower level (like Fontconfig).
  • If a potential redundant option like the font size gets changed this option should maybe not get applied to the current session at places where a local font size on a higher level is already explicitly applied.

The last part could be maybe get tricky. But I don't think that changing the font size in LXSession should trigger changing the font size in a specific application (like the desktop from PCManFM) for the current session if logging out and logging in would cause to revert the change in the specific application for the new session.
