I just found Luma today. I am a technical writer for Linux.com, CNET,
and Ghacks.net. I have been looking for a good GUI to use to manage LDAP
and came across Luma. I installed it, started using it, and even wrote a
quick article about installation and connecting to an LDAP server.
But then I ran into a bug that might be a show stopper for my covering
the tool. When trying to add a user with the Usermanagement plugin I get
19:49:16 An unhandled exception occured. This is most likely a bug
in the programming of Luma. In order to fix this, send an email with
following text and a detailed description of what you were doing to
File "/usr/lib/luma/plugins/usermanagement/AccountWizard.py", line
251, in checkNext
File "/usr/lib/luma/base/backend/SmartDataObject.py", line 246, in
attributeName = self.attributeMap[attributeName.lower()]
Reason: <type 'exceptions.KeyError'> 'uidnumber'
I do hope this tool is still being developed as it is one of the
simplest LDAP tools I've found. If development is still on-going, is
there a fix for this bug? If so, can someone share that fix?
Thank you all.
