Hello Sergio, > hi, > I'm not sure if this is the right way to post. > I'm trying to configure artsd on kde. > the command artsd -n -u -a oss > gives me the message "can't open /dev/dsp (No such > device)" > but /dev/dsp, /dev/dsp1, /dev/dsp2... exist. The fact that these "device files" exist doesn't mean there's something behind them.... is the driver modules for your sound card loaded, if it is do other audio applications work (I like mp3blaster on the textmode shell of my server :-)? If in doubt, what sound devices does "lspci -v" list, and what does "lsmod" output? Best regards, Anselm Martin Hoffmeister Stockholm Projekt Computer-Service <ans...@ho...> |
