very good news
the Debian mantainer of libtdb has agreed to package a shared library
this is very good news to say the least: I had tried to modify
the Debian packages of libprintsys and libprinterconf to adapt to
the problem, but it was proving very difficult (you can't imagine
how many ./configure tests I was breaking...)
as soon as libtdb.so will be in the archives, the problem will be solved
