Sorry about that -- it is our primary means of disseminating files.

I'm not sure why this is. I'll ask Nick the guy who puts the files on
the server to fix it.

The overall reason why we went with the FTP service rather than the
file download service built into sourceforge was one of
simplicity. The process of putting a file up in the file download area
is a rather complicated process that goes through several web
forms. We haven't found a way to automate it yet. It must be automated
because we have something like 10 files for 6 or more distributions
and so going through each package would be very time consuming.
