#4 and again same problem

Hi,

i'm sorry to have to report the same problem, each time when i upgrade my system, but i need your help again.
I use Xubuntu 11.10 now and installed it on a clean partition. I build Csound 5.14 double version and want to include the Loris opcodes as well.
So i try to configure Loris 1.8 ( the one that worked on my older system Kubuntu 10.04) using the commandline i used the other time.
But again, csdl.h is not found while i am sure i point to the right place.
Can you help me?

    Hmmm, I am at a bit of a loss, since I don't actually have a linux machine to try this out on, and it certainly appears that everything should be working. Could you please open up your config.log, and search for a line like

    configure:20174: checking csdl.h usability

    (your line number may differ), and post the next few lines, up to the one that says

    result: building command line utilties

    The second line in there should show the compile line that failed, and maybe there will be some error messages as well. If not, at least there will be a compile command that we can try.

    The log that you excerpted indicates that finding csdl.h is not the problem, rather that csdl.h includes another file, interlocks.h, that does not exist. I can find no reference to interlocks.h on my system, certainly not in csdl.h.

    It appears to me that the problem may lie in your Csound distribution. interlocks.h looks like it might be a recent addition to Csound5 (I have version 5.13, which does not reference that file). If you built Csound from source, could you look in the source directories for a file by that name? It might be that it simply got left out of the installation.

    problem solved.
    it had indeed to do with the file interlocks.h ; after this command "touch /usr/local/include/csound/interlocks.h" i was able to get Csound support. It installed perfectly and have the Loris Csound opcodes available with the additional flag --opcode-lib=/usr/local/lib/libloris.so

    i have made a blog entry about Loris and Csound http://www.csounds.com/node/1380 for everyone to read.

    If you are using a non-release version of Csound, that is probably information worth mentioning right at the beginning if such problems should arise again, or with other code relying on the Csound library.

    Glad you got it working, I assume the Csound team will clean up the missing header problem by the time they release again.
