Add to Type of File Extensions

    Is there some way to add to the default file types given for Web files, Document files, Text files listed in the Type of file drop down box

    It's is possible using the registry editor (regedit.exe). First, close Locate32 (check also that there is no system tray icon). Then you have to find setting of Locate32 in Windows' registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Locate32), then find Locate key. Now you should see "Load Buildin Types" and "Buildin Types" values. The first one should be set to 1 and then you can modify the "Buildin Types" value and finally open Locate32.

    Be careful that you follow the syntax (list is limited |). If you break something and you want to get back to original, set "Load Buildin Types" to 0, delete "Buildin Types" value and reload Locate32.
