I have used Locate 32 (3.1.117100) on my Windows XP Pro computer (32 bit) for many years. It is a great tool. When I boot the computer, Locate32 starts minimized, which is exactly what I want.
I just bought a new Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) computer. I installed Locate 32 (same version) but this time I installed the 64 bit option. But when I boot the computer, Locate32 OPENS on the screen, rather than minimized.
I am not sure what setting controls this. I have all the settings on my Win 7 exactly the same as on the XP, with one possible exception. On the XP, in the 'Locate Dialog' screen, the 'Leave Locate 32 running on background....' is checked, BUT is grayed out. I cannot determine what action checks this or grays it out. In this same section, I have 'Minimize to System tray' and 'Close button minimizes the dialog' checked.
On my Win 7, I have the same two items checked. However 'Leave Locate 32 running on background....' is NOT grayed out. Currently it is UNCHECKED.
What controls whether Locate32 opens minimized or not, and if there is a setting, where is it?
You seem to have CSS turned off.

As minimized, do you really mean minimized such that Locate32 is also shown as one of programs in task bar, or just that you have Locate32 icon in system tray near clock? The latter you can achieve if you launch locate32 using -S argument.
