Dear all

When I start lngooglecalsync I can run synchronization and it works fine. When it is time for next synchronize it fails and the software crashes. Before this a windows dialogue box appear and say something like
"the below error was encountered while starting Lotus Notes Google Calendar Sync. If no error is shown, then an invalid command-line parameter was probably specified. Exit code: 1. Begin MIME to CD conversion process? (00001708:00000002), Database: C:\Documents and Settings\csvensso\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\Data\Mail\xxxx.nsf , Note: 0000A502"

This did not happen a week ago. I am not an expert in software coding but something seems wrong.

I ran the lnconectivity test and it said successful.

I use version 2.2 and Notes 7 under XP 32 bit.

With the main window open, try doing 3-4 syncs in a row. Does the error happen then?

When I start the software, I can manually sync once (or having sync on startup checked). Next time, 2nd sync, if I manually sync or if the pre-defined timer (like next 15 minutes) performs the sync (no difference) the software screen just disappear from the screen and the dialog box appear I described above. Meaning, I cannot perform more than a 2nd sync in a row. But I will try clicking really fast ;-)

PS: You were probably joking, but don't try clicking really fast. That could cause more problems. Wait for a sync to finish (or cause an error) before trying again.

This is also happening to me.

Only runs the first time, the second sync it crashes saying that it can't open the Domino Directory, names.nsf, that is a local file on My Documents. Why should it be accessing my Notes contacts DB?

I'm runnning Window XP SP3 x86, Lotus Notes 7.0.2, Java 1.7.0_05.

Did LNGS previously run successfully all the time (not failing on the second run)? If yes, do you know what has changed?

Try this.
1. Edit lngsync.vbs.
2. Near the top, change
   useLotusJVM = 0
to
  useLotusJVM = 1
3. Try running lngsync.vbs again.

Actually it never ran two times in a row, I've tested with version 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, all with the same behavior.

I can use it normally with Windows Scheduling Service, because it runs once then closes it.

I've changed the useLotusJVM setting but it didn't work. Got the two messages bellow:

I see you have Java version 1.4.2. Have you tried installing Java 1.6 or greater?

That could resolve the problem.

I Have Java 1.7 installed. See my first message.

1.4.2 is the Lotus Notes JVM, because you told me to set the useLotusJVM to 1.

I also installed latests Java and tried useLotusJVM = 1 but it did not work.

To answer Qlazze's question: Yes, setting up LNGS to run as a Windows scheduled task (as described in the Help file) is a workaround.
