Hello, the events <event tick="88565" type="1" a="262145" /> <event tick="88565" type="1" a="7" b="110" /> should be ok. The first is a controller event which sets HighBank LowBank and ProgramChange to zero (missing b parameter defaults to zero). The second one sets Volume to value 110. Note that controller events (type=1) do not have a len. Not all external midi gear can handle HighBank and LowBank. My Korg NS5R is silent after sending it a HighBank controller value of 0. /werner On Monday 08 November 2004 20:15, Robert Jonsson wrote: > Hi Guys, > > I got a song from Crispin exhibiting this mute problem, and I actually > managed to reproduce it :-). > > After some deep digging in the songfile I've found the source of the > problem. - Though we need to figure out why this happens. > > in the <part> sections that where affected the data looked like this: > > <event tick="88512" len="192" a="12" b="125" /> > <event tick="88521" len="576" a="22" b="84" /> > <event tick="88565" type="1" a="262145" /> > <event tick="88565" type="1" a="7" b="110" /> > <event tick="88704" len="192" a="16" b="84" /> > <event tick="88704" len="192" a="11" b="84" /> > <event tick="89088" len="192" a="12" b="123" /> > > Notice the third and the fourth line, they are missing the len part. > When I removed all occurances of this the track started playing. > > First of, MusE should probably be able to handle this situation more > gracefully, throw the data away probably? > > Secondly, what could have caused it?
