Hello Muse developers again,
Muse is a wonderful and stable Midi/audio recorder/editor and much more. I
now use it daily for various tasks in music recording and production. aiming
to make it the only DAW for all music production.
The suggestions below are things that would improve these simple day-to-day
tasks, especially in the main arranger window.
Although some things have been discussed earlier on this list, I am putting
them here as I often come to miss these few (for me essential) features.
1a. *Horizontal zoom shortcut:* this we discussed earlier, I think Mathias
mentioned that it's not so easy to implement it. But it's such a basic need
for all editing on the arranger window.
1b.* More zoom*! I often work in uneven rhythms 7/8, 9/8 etc. I realised
that even on its maximum, the zoom on the main arranger window hardly
provides for accurate audio editing. At least double than the current amount
of zoom recommended (I am so official, uh)
2. Midi tracks/parts: *edit volume, pan, transpose and program change per
At the moment, editing one midi part of a track changes the properties of
the entire track. If would be good to be able to do these 'little' things
3. *Left side of audio/midi parts resize*: this was mentioned before as well
- it would be nice to have the possibility to resize the parts from their
left side, as well as from the right. Especially audio.
4a. when *recording midi track* in REPLACE mode: previously recorded notes
Say, we recorded 9 bars of a midi track, of which 8 and 9 contain wrong
notes. We want to punch-in at bar 8. the recording process does erase the
previous midi data, but during the recording, the previously recorded notes
4b. *recording audio track in REPLACE mode: *does not erase the audio.
Instead, both audio parts are playing back (the previously recorded and the
new). Having some kind of layers-levels with the possibility to move the to
the top level would be nice. Or just erase (replace) the old audio content
with the new.
5. *Glue tool - multi glue*: somehow to be able to glue many parts them
using one click (shift+click or similar)
5. *drum and normal editor to remember zooms*: the zoom shortcuts are very
welcome addition to the Muse arrangers. If they could now remember our
zooming levels it would have been ideal...
6. *Drum track > solo drums*: Muting is nice, but soloing the drums would be
a good addition. The whole track or even a single drum instrument, when
7. *Cleaning unused audio files*. I know there's a script, and it's indeed
useful. Could not this script be implemented in Muse itself? A menu called
"Clean unused files" would be ideal!
