another file problem I'm afraid! When I saved the song at the link
below, it worked fine (I've not included the actual audio files as I
carried this to work on a floppy disk...)
Now on loading however, it gives the error
"name2node failed <proph 2>"
and "proph 2" (the only audio track) either 1. is silent or 2. crashes
muse when it plays.
Any advice greatly appreciated!

I've got this problem on a regular basis. Unfortunately I'm not able to fix
the problem internally (though it might already be fixed in the next version
of MusE since Werner has remade the routing substantially).
I _do_ however have a workaround that seems to work (I only found out
yesterday that it actually fixes this problem correctly for me).
The thing that happens that causes silence or crash is that the MusE failed to
connect the track to any output, this is an abnormal condition that should
What you can do to fix it is to click in the route drop-down at the bottom of
each track in the mixer. Select the correct output from the alternatives.
"Master" is probably what you want since it seems you are doing just a simple
Even if it seems to be already set to "Master", select it again because the
dropdown defaults to "Master" if there is an error (this is a bug in itself).
