Hi Tim. Good to see you 'round again.. just thought i'd give you a
heads-up on the fact that Stephane has changed the current jack transport
state regarding master/clients; locate never worked over netjack2 but you
were able to start and stop playback from both master and connected
slaves. this has now been changed in the current svn because it was too
complex to make work properly. i'm testing now. it looks like there are
fewer x-runs now than before. havn't done much 'real-world'testing of it
yet tho....more later. one thing that was quite an issue was 'loop'
playback wouldn't work at all and ended up locking muse; playback would
roll past the loop end point then just play on not repsonding to stop. it
would normally not respond at all after that with the transport buttons
stuck with play and stop engaged. i'll see what happens now.
that markers window error at startup isn't happening anymore on my brand
new build; here's hoping that's gone for good ;)
one more thing; jack midi would be fantastic now as the latest fst only
has jack midi ports and a2jmidi is problematic here.
One more thing I forgot to ask; is it possible to add a 'jack transport'
option to the sync page so you can chose to slave to jack transport or not
using the sync button on the transport bar? This would make life so much
easier. ATM i have to quit Muse and restart the jack server with -t 0 to
enable muse transport to control play/stop/move playhead. reverse to slave
to master using netjack2
