Hi, the XG instrument (and GS), show that drum patches have
a 'high byte' (MSB) of 18, and Sound FX patches have 17.
Surely this must have been a typo? Missing a '2' ?
I have read the XG specifications and clearly it says that
the drum patches should have an MSB of 128 (1 base),
and sound FX patches should be 127.
I have set them properly here locally, and now when I select
an XG song type and choose XG instrument drum patches,
everything works OK now.
Am I missing something here, or am I correct?
Ironically, Rosegarden's instrument editor also says they are 17/18 !
Opening a soundfont in 'Swami' clearly shows FX/Drum patches
should be 127/128, and loading an SF in fluidsynth in muse shows
the FX/Drum patches are MSB=127/128.
