Hello. Once again, you can find the fixes in the CVS muse REL07 branch. Important wavetrack/waveeditor part drawing/playing/gluing/splitting fixes. G.B.'s request for arranger controls to give up focus. Minor part colour popup fix - now allows unselected part. See the ChangeLog for more info. Getting closer to official muse 1 release ... The project administrator wants to do it ... But these recent changes need to be tested. So help out and try it today! Enjoy! Tim. |

Look in your local Muse CVS build tree and open muse/arranger/arranger.cpp Look at lines 657 - 662. Do you see: void Arranger::globalTempoChanged(int val) { audio->msgSetGlobalTempo(val); song->tempoChanged(); // Added by Tim. p3.3.2 globalTempoSpinBox->clearFocus(); If you see those last two lines, you've got the latest CVS. A simple CVS update SHOULD be all that was needed. Note that I only fixed the controls at the top of the arranger (tempo, song length etc). I didn't fix any controls in the MIDI mixer strip on the left (velocity, transpose etc.) So did I miss one of the controls? Are they not working at all? Or have you been missing all those goodies I've fixed? PS. Been playing with Muse 2. One word - beautiful ! What a great job with the automation - automate everything ! Muse 2 feels much more smooth and integrated... I will try to fix wavepart drawing in Muse 2. Unless Werner is planning to add true wavepart timeshifting, then it does need fixing... Tim. |

one really stupid dislike i have of .9 is that there's a bug in the appearance editor which prevents the track highlight colour in the arranger from being permanently changed from that god-awful green to any thing else. can i hardwire the default or is it easy to repair the bug? best, g. ( apologies to whomever chose that god-awful green btw ;) |

Hi Tim! Great job! I finally had the time to test latest CVS. Everything appears to look ok, but... (there's always the 'but' it seems). I'm having a lot of problems with hanging notes, both for ZynAdd and Hydrogen (haven't tested it with internal softsynths yet). I've installed it on my laptop (which I haven't used to run MusE earlier) and thought it was a problem with jack and xruns so I set the buffers higher, but it's still there. Then when I switch back to 0.8.1 or whatever comes with Ubunty Gutsy I don't have those problems. Of course it might be something specific in my environment causing it. Anyone else having this problem? /Mathias Tim skrev: > Hello. > > Enjoy! > Tim. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges. Anyone else having this problem? i've been using muse-0.9-cvs for a couple of days (midi playback only) and have seen not a single hung note. looks really good; now if Tim can just fix the other spin-box focus issues it's perfect for my uses :) best, g. |
