I forgot to add a ChangeLog message, this is now added.
There seems to be a new format to the ChangeLog, involving the dates when
things are made (which I think is good) but everything made until now is all
written on 29 october... which I don't understand.
I created a new paragraf for 31 october... feel free to change this if I
misunderstood how the file was supposed to look.
Some first impressions, having compiled up the new codebase and tried some
Merging the threads made a huge difference to startup times and instantiation
of softsynths! I would not be surprised if this also goes for actual
performance when running the sequencer.
As usual I run mainly with jack, which is a real pain with the new core, it
zombifies all the time ;-P. (i'm sure it will improve)
Right now I'm not actually utilizing jack... I actually run everything within
muse, but I still use jack as the main backend, it seems the right thing to
In the near future I think I'll be using a lot of jacked apps with muse.
There are some cool jacked stuff that would be great to use, one of the more
recent is the LinuxSampler project, they will come out with a jacked sampler
supporting gigasampler soundbanks soon(tm). This has the potential for being
a huge thing for me! :)
As a developer I think it's a good thing to run with jack. It serves as the RT

somewhere, and you got no choice but to try and fix it.
All for now,
