Unless the organization method to display all of those samples is overhauled, or the searching capabilities are fixed, it would be too overwhelming for the average user.

I would recommend keeping a lowest-common-denominator that ships with the software (so to speak) and pick the best, most popular, most compatible, etc and go from there.

Also, a sample pack downloader may be a better approach, which hits a mirror and grabs them as to not inflate the installation size too much.

I'm not on the DEV list, so please forward my thoughts there if you find them valuable.
