Re: [Lmms-users] Tempo changes when I don't want it to. (To EAR" <electronicacidrock@comcast.net)

If you at any point in the song automate the tempo (or have tried to do so previously in that file), it sometimes messes up the tempo and you end up with the file unable to change tempo at all.
Solution: Make a new file and copy over all the notes...

Good luck!

For what it's worth, if you have a lot of copying and pasting to do
between tracks, I've had some luck just making a copy of the .mmp file,
opening it in a text editor and copying the <pattern> ... </pattern>
sections from one <track> section to another.

If you also want to time shift the pattern it's a little more involved,
but I wrote a few perl one-liners to do it at the time. Probably not
something a Windows user (who isn't a programmer) will have the tools to
do, but it's possible. It's just an XML file, and a very readable one at
that -- thanks to the developers for keeping it so open.

Working on a new music project.  Don't have permission to share the MMPZ files yet, but wanted to share the progress (soundcloud links).  All tracks made entirely with LMMS.  Two borrow samples from musopen.org.

Feedback is welcome.

The piano uses a soundfont, which sounds a lot better than any of the built in ones.

The entire track is made with LMMS.

I noticed the fonts run out of notes if you get too high or too low, which can be hilarious :) . (limitation of the soundfont, not LMMS).

Any feedback is welcome!

Yeah, I've been messing with those too. The sounds are surprisingly
good. Combine them with acoustic drum samples and have people
compliment you on your playing ;-)

The tempo changes to the default 140 even though it was set first at 200. Even when you change it back, it still goes back to the default. Any ideas to fix this. WinXP updated, configured for music recording. Other things have gone wrong & rebuilt music project just to solve the problem but this wrong tempo went back to default. Used LMMS for an album which worked ok & found workarounds but that's standard on PC recording. Great program & have created some wild songs but not sure how to solves this one? Please help. I'm at a point of missing the deadline for early May but that's alright, I've missed deadlines before.

Did you import a MIDI file into the project, perhaps? I've done this
and had it try to nail the speed of the project to the speed of the
MIDI. I saved the file and restarted LMMS and it seemed to stop doing
this. What have you tried to fix it so far?
