Now when looping this item it would be nice to have an option to tell LMMS to hold this note over across the loop marker without retriggering it at the beginning of each new loop.

This would be a nice option for looping.

I wasn't sure what you meant in your first post.  I though your question
was whether you can use Zyn with LMMS.

As for skips, I don't know.  I guess it depends on the sound/preset used.
