SGI is very interested in getting this into a state such that it can be integrated into the LKCD project and usable on our Altix systems. I plan to have some patches ready for it over the course of the next few weeks, including support for some additional disk drivers. I'll send an initial volley of patches momentarily. This first round will mostly be cleanup and build fixes: [PATCH 1/5] Split out polling config option and fix non-module builds This makes polling mode block device support a separate config option from interrupt-driven block device support, and makes it buildable either as a module or compiled into the kernel. A number of symbols in dump_pollingdev.c have been renamed to avoid clashing with their counterparts in dump_blockdev.c. [PATCH 2/5] Clean up dump_pollingdev.c #includes This removes some unneeded #includes, and puts the rest into a more conventional order. It also removes an unused extern declaration of dump_page_buf. [PATCH 3/5] Remove unused sysfs functions This removes a couple of vestigial sysfs related functions from the diskdump codebase which aren't hooked up to anything in the LKCD codebase. [PATCH 4/5] Remove unused diskdump_setup_timestamp export This removes an export which doesn't seem to be used by anything. [PATCH 5/5] Remove unused partition selection code This removes some partition selection code which was a vestige of dump_pollingdev.c's diskdump heritage and isn't used by LKCD. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
