I'm totally lost and not nearly as smart as all of you. I can't even get past
downloading!

I downloaded LiVES-1.6.0.tar.gz from the site and opened the folder in my
downloads folder, but no idea where to go from there. Doesn't look like the
usual programs I install in my Mac with .dmg files.

Help please.

Hi Angela,

have a look in the OSX/Darwin forum. You will need to compile the program,
because none of your fellow Mac users can be bothered to make a .dmg file.
