I have a built in laptop webcam (/dev/video0), and when I try to open it as a stream, LiVES crashes.
Here is what GDB gave me:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Please try the following:
go into Preferences -> Decoding, and uncheck the button "Use instant opening when possible"
then try to open the file again.
Did the suggestion fix it ?
I think this is fixed. The problem was likely caused by a crash in dv_decoder when trying to open files without a file extension. If it is still crashing with the latest version (1.2.1) I can reopen this issue.
