I didn't explicitly test setting --driver=3Ddefault, but the brief test =
I did suggested that it still didn't work unless I explicitly chose the =
driver during install.

I have now got CVS compiled and installed using an X10 remote, so going =
to continue using that for now.  The only observation is that irw =
suggests that the X10 repeats each key at a very fast rate.  I haven't =
got any apps setup yet to find out if that presents a practical problem =
(or even read the man pages to see if this is customisable).  However, =
at least I am getting reception, which is a great start
