I've written a userspace LIRC driver which should support the same remotes as the lirc_atiusb kernel module. A patch to add this to LIRC 0.7.0pre7 is available here: http://www.scs.carleton.ca/~mgold/patches/lirc-add-atilibusb.patch The driver uses libusb to communicate with a remote. This makes it easier to install than a kernel module, and (in theory) portable to non-Linux systems. I've been using it with my ATI Remote Wonder for a few days, and haven't had any problems. To patch/compile/test: $ patch -p1 < lirc-add-atilibusb.patch $ aclocal && automake && autoconf && ./configure select these options in the configuration menu: Driver Configuration USB devices ATI/NVidia/X10 RF Remote (userspace) Save configuration & run configure $ make # daemons/lircd -H atilibusb -n=20 Config files made for lirc_atiusb should work with this driver. I've also made an example available: http://www.scs.carleton.ca/~mgold/patches/lircd.conf - Michael |
