I need some help:
Sysconfig: SuSE 7.3, lirc 0.6.4, Hauppauge WinTV
My IR Controller is connected at the back of my TV-Card. Is it possible to
control my KWinTV, xmms and other programs through my TV-Card?
In the setup.sh I selected following types: 4 TV Card; b Hauppauge TV-Card
(new I2C layer required).
Is this selction OK? What is the I2C layer?
What does this mean:
You will have to use the lirc_i2c kernel module. (after having compiled this
There's nothing about it in the documention.
I have to run mode2 to see if my IR Control is working, but there's
mode2: error opening /dev/lirc
mode2: No such device
What is the problem? (no permission-problem!)
Are there any instructions for Hauppauge users on the net?
Do I need other ir-programs or drivers?
Thank you very much for all responses!

The device should have been created by "make install".
